Hello all,

Below is the thank you I sent to Pi-Con chair.

Thank you to all those who came, had fun and manned our booth at
pi-con. It was very fun and I hope to be able to do more of these
kinds of events.

Others should post replied of their stories and I'm sure Steve is
going to have a gallery up soon.

The talks were very interesting, the games and events were well
planned out and I highly recommended that next year people come from
our group just to attend (rather than volunteer at our booth).

As I've said below, the kinds of things some of the people there were
into could have leant themselves to us doing a talk or two about
various technical disciplines some of us are highly skilled in.

Best Regards, Martin Owens

Subject: Ubuntu MA LoCo Thank You
To: Robert Hafner <chair at pi-con.org>

Dear Pi-Con Chair / Robert Hafner,

Thank you for letting the Ubuntu Massachusetts LoCo group display and
promote what we do at your event. Our attendees enjoyed themselves and
I also had a lot of fun meeting different people and getting to know
the staff that put the event on.

I have a number of thoughts that you may safely ignore:

 * If staff could dress up in some theme, that would be fun and allow
people to identify who staff where (something better than a blue strip
on the name tag)
 * Some more cross pollination of event news and such, it would be
nice if our group and contacts can be emailed that these events are
going on and in return our events could be mentioned on the pi-con
mailing list.
 * We had people who were confused about what con we were going to,
there is another con called py-con for python programmers. :-/ no sure
if this is solvable and it's more to do with our group of people than
anything else.
 * We'd like to have a label other than dealer and maybe have an event
that we run or be more involved with various other events next time,
we can help run the video game room with some ubuntu computers running
various games. Or run talks on open source, free software, creative
commons, legalities, social production or political reasons for being
involved in such groups or supporting their work. We'd also be able to
run programming workshops for python or general talks on functionality
such as drawing in inkscape, using blender ect.

Once again thank you for giving us the space and allowing us to be a
part of your great event and we hope we'll see you next year.

Best Regards, Martin Owens
