Bug #102511, has there been any solution or workaround?

	I have just finished reading the page associated with this URL:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apt/+bug/102511 - "apt throws
bzip2/gzip errors for duplicated sources.list entries or duplicated
componenes"... I suppose i should feel enlightened & I do, somewhat - as
it seems its being worked on; but my principal question & concern at
this point is, has anyone come up with a fix or work around to this?
	I have my Feisty system fully updated at this point, and was going to
upgrade to Gutsy & it would seem that the inability to download & apply
the package concerned here is the only barrier to that..
