New York Times advertisement for Ubuntu

We really need to have a New York Times advertisement. It worked for
Firefox and you will find my name (and 10,000 others) on the first
advertisement shown below...

So, we need to round up 10,000 people to make small donations, just as
Mozilla did, to raise public awareness outside of the Linux scene.
The way Mozilla did this was to get a great deal from the New York
Times on a two page advertisement that would run 'on-the-fly' and was
not scheduled for any particular date. The was this works is
presumably when the NYT determines that they have a low ad
time-period, they will select to run your ad at a discounted price.
Here are the details for contacting them regarding advertising costs.
Also, if anyone could speak with the Mozilla team to find out how they
did it, and how they would do it if they had another chance, please
contact them.

I think this ad should go out before the end of the year, but maybe
Mozilla could give us some pointers on when the best time to do this
would be? How about for the next release of Hardy Heron? Or maybe
SABDFL has a better idea? Let's discuss!
