expanding header

Sorry i haven't had a lot of time to play around with Inkscape so i don't
know how to do it. Can anybody else give it a try? Or Steve, can you just
get to it whenever you have time if nobody else can?

What i was envisioning was the current image not stretched but extended out
to the right and it would trail off into one line. Similar to this poor GIMP
job i did of another image (attached). Then there might be some way to save
the last column of pixels as an image to have it repeat as much as is needed
to fill the remaining space but that might not be necessary or might not be
possible with the wiki so just extending the line on the image would be
fine.
