I'm new to the list but wanted to quickly introduce myself and say "HI".

I'm planning to demo Ruby/Rails on Ubuntu at the local Boston & Linux group
meeting <http://blu.org/cgi-bin/calendar/2007-jun> on June 20th. I'm also
active in the a new teaching/learning/coding tool for Ruby, called Hackety
Hack <http://hacketyhack.net/>. A version for Linux is expected and that
will make another great Ubuntu demonstration. (We have a BoF session on
Hackety Hack and User
Groups<http://conferences.oreillynet.com/cs/rails2007/view/e_sess/14529>at
the upcoming Rails Conference.)

I've been a fan of Ubuntu for a while now ... and think it would be great to
see a MA forum. I have a feeling there are probably a lot of people around
us who would be thrilled to use Ubuntu if they had an easy onramp and local
support to help them get familiar with it. I'd be glad to help ...

+1 here for a strong interest in a team forum ..

Thanks,

- Brian
