Hi,
Everyone on the team is very important to me and Ubuntu. I want to make sure
that everyone has a hand in the team since the team is all of us as a group.
I've been flying solo to get the communications up but it's not fair to you
guys for me to do so from here on out. To better the team I would like to
know your strengths as well as what tasks you enjoy. This has to be fun and
not just work. So please tell me what you can do and what you like to do.
I'll go first.
:)
Things I enjoy doing:
1. Things that cannot be done. (I love challenges)
2. Digital art work. (Logo, CD labels, Icons)
3. Writing and/or editing public announcements.
4. Creating and maintaining websites.
5. Driving my wife crazy. (I'm a master at this)
6. Organizing groups large and small.
7. Package building. (I have tons of experience building Slackware/TGZ
packages but no DEBS atm but I plan to pick it up.)
8. Moderating between two people or groups in disagreement. (Being honest is
key)
The group is small (but still very, very important) atm so we will have to
do things a little while different until we grow larger. This week I am
going to help the other LoCo groups by drawing their Group's Logos for
Launchpad. I have received requests from the Oklahoma and Ohio LoCo' thus
far and I'll get their's done today. They will be similar to our logo at our
Launchpad pages. (Our page is drawing attention!) This will help to make the
LoCo LP pages be consistent and appealing to future recruits.
Like I said earlier...tell me your strengths and I'll find something you can
do to help the team and Ubuntu. You are also free to find stuff on your own.
When you do find things on your own please share that with the team so maybe
we can have multiple people work on it as a group if possible.
:)
Have fun!
Michael
