Today we had our July meeting at the Eagle Creek Library. What was
expected to be a very short and low attendance meeting turned into what
was probably the best meeting that we have had to date. There were a
total of 12 people there and we met for the full 3 hours discussing what
we feel the future meetings should be like. We decided that we want to
have a set day of the month for our meetings. The 1st Thursday of the
month at 9:00PM will be the time for our irc meetings while the 3rd
Saturday will be reserved for our IRL meetings. We have decided to have
the majority of our meetings at the Eagle Creek branch and when
necessary we will go to the Tates Creek branch or East Side Tech.

The general flow of the meetings will look something like this for now
(times subject to change):

3:00 Start the meeting
3:00 - 3:20 Shameless self promotion. Go around the room and tell
your name and what you do.
3:30 - 4:00 User centered presentation. Something that new users
will be able to keep up with and that is not super technical (i.e.
installing packages)
4:10 - 4:40 Business centered presentation. Something that will
benefit members that use linux in a work environment (i.e. hardening the
kernel)
4:40 - 5:00 Open discussion
