Scott,

I think that this is an awesome idea. If you can provide the location to
meet then we will try to provide the members :) We will discuss this in
tomorrow nights meeting. Meetings are held on IRC. If you would like to
join and need help getting connected let us know.

Kevin,
You got me. I am an old Amiga guy, but since I sold my store in 12/01 and
C= went defunct back in 93, I thought I'd try out this new thing called a
PC. ;-) I have gone to most of the recent Linux-Fests up in Ohio and have
helped with setup, etc. I taught Linux at Eastern for a couple of years
along with A+ and Networking +, etc. If you Google me, you will actually
find more PC references to me than Amiga ones.

But you bring up a good point. My draw to Linux is similar to that of the
Amiga. It's a little bit off the reservation.

Anyway, if you think you could get even 6 people together, I could probably
get a dozen or two students and teachers who would like to talk and learn
about what you all already know. I am a little behind on IRC... I'll have
to educate myself a little with how to use that vehicle.

Let me know if you know any Louisville folk who want to face-face about
Linux and I'll round up the others. Manual and Eastern are the two
strongholds of high school use.

Linux? I thought you were an Amiga guy.

We tend to do more online than face to face, due to the fact that we're
spread out around the state. There are a few of us, though that are in
the Louisville area.

If you're familiar with IRC, we tend to congregate on freenode
(irc.freenode.net) in the #ubuntu-us-ky channel.
