After some forum posting on the ubuntu forums, I got an answer with
instructions on how to keep the windows from randomly resizing themselves.
I followed through with what the responders told me to do and I hope all
goes well. If anyone is experiencing this random window resizing issue like
I am, then let me know. I have the instructions to give you, unless you
already know how to do it. but, I'll stay in touch so our group doesn't
die.
