   Well good to hear from ya!  I'm in Evansville, also a flight-simmer. 
In fact it was one of two things I missed with l left Microsoft in 1999.

   FlightGear is pretty good, just not as polished. 
http://FlightGear.org You can use the (always old) version in the repo, 
or get a script from the website for a better compile-and-install.

   As to the LTS, yeah...I may change my mind when the next release 
comes out, but I'm a big fan of the LTS along the way. Most newbies I 
help start that way, and all business computers I set up too.  Unlike 
the earlier days, the upgrades are just not that bad, but I really don't 
feel like messing with it.

   Is there any Linux up there?  Down here's an outpost of American 
General; they have *1300* desktops. The guy keeping them running is a 
comrade from the USI Linux User Group.  I couldn't be more proud.
