This is where a USB external drive comes in real handy sometimes.

I have a directory named wifi on tomservo and i want to save that to
wifi.tar.gz on crow:

rob at tomservo:~$ tar cz wifi/ | ssh rob at crow "cat - >wifi.tar.gz"
