Installing ubuntu on a Mac SE

Dear Rob the party-pooer, I do believe your advice is sound, and will
undoubtedly take it !  It is refreshing to hear it "straight from the
shoulder", with no frills !  Several others have pretty much implied the
same, but much softer !
