Yes, that is the same as Kubuntu.  Ubuntu and all its derivatives
(Kubuntu, Xubuntu, Fluxbuntu(?), Ubuntu Studio, Mythbuntu, etc...) are
based on the same core, of which the X server and apt are a part.  So
those configs will transfer to any of these derivatives, and the X
server autodetection will be present too, I believe.
