Hi Chris,<br>
<br>
We have another event happening on Wednesday now (see details on
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://uds.ubuntu.com/social-events/">http://uds.ubuntu.com/social-events/</a>). So we have two options here:
keep the loco community event on Wed. We have enough space to host
both events, which are very different in content. <br>
Alternatively, we can move the community event to Thursday. What do
you think?<br>
<br>
Let me know asap.<br>
<br>
Thank you<br>
<br>
Marianna<br>

Marianna, <br>
<br>
The team and I would like to do something similar to last year,
except this year it will be "Snacks & a Movie". We would like
to do it on Wednesday evening, starting @ 8-8:30 p.m. and ending
when the movie is over, or everyone heads off to bed after
socialising. <br>
<br>
We were going to see if you could confirm that the hotel would
allow for us to use the Plenary Room for this event, similar to
last year. We were thinking of popping popcorn, and possibly
making some cotton candy. Someone mentioned that sometimes hotels
may already have popcorn and cotton candy makers, for guest use
during special occasions, so I was wondering if you could please
ask them if they do for us. If not, we're planning to rent them
from a nearby place (We're still checking to see if there's a
nearby rental place and what the rates are), If neither of these
options work out, we will purchase Sodas and Halloween/Theatre
Style Candy to pass out to the attendees, so they can enjoy the
movie with some concessions.<br>
<br>
We also discussed adding all of the events to the badge, and
wanted to suggest that instead of printing out all of the info on
the badge, it might be cool to use a QR code with a link centered
below (for those that don't have the ability to scan a QR code)
that would take you to <a moz-do-not-send="true"
class="moz-txt-link-freetext"
href="http://uds.ubuntu.com/social-event">http://uds.ubuntu.com/social-event</a>
similar to this:<br>

<a moz-do-not-send="true" class="moz-txt-link-freetext"
href="http://uds.ubuntu.com/social-events/">http://uds.ubuntu.com/social-events/</a><br>
<br>
Please let me know if you have any questions. <br>
<br>
Thanks for your time, <br>
