June 1 EOCC.org Business Expo Update:

Hey Everyone,

Cool, I am glad that I got the level of positive feedback about doing
the June 1 Business Expo, since the chamber hasn't even posted a page
for it on their website (EOCC.ORG).

I had chance to talk to Annie the Chairman of the Chamber and she still
hasn't finalized the whole thing, except that it going to "like last
year". Which means the morning is going to be "speed networking" where
people exchange 1 minute talks about there business, then in the
afternoon the show opens "to the public" and the exhibitors setup tables
during the afternoon.

Normally I wouldn't be planning this far ahead, but I wanted to have the
lead time to get all the swag for the show from Canonical. Since the
official leaflets, CD's T-shirts etc will make a great presentation
along with a computer with Ubuntu running on it. 

I agree that the team contacts ordering the conference pack would add to
the creditability of the whole thing, as long as they send it to me so
it doesn't have to be forwarded. See my address at the end of this
message.

I would like to have the materials before I write them a check for the
table, since it's essential for the presentation. T-Shirts will make
great "door prizes", the leaflets are just awesome an of course the free
CD's are going to be a bit hit.

I will keep everyone posted as I find out more details, but I am 95%
sure this is going to fly. Also I was told that the location was "the
same as last year" which is the (google:) Holiday Inn Select UCF.
