So I could not wait for the new release and went devel before launch today,
or so for 16.04 XX...

some issues with it, booting to console, errors on bootup, gdm3 and another
display manager were in use, i have multiple display managers, which
upgrade is updating, seems to differ. editing in the grub menu doesn't
stay put, F10 instead of Escape out to lose changes, and /boot contains a
file with the latest, I just don't see it on boot, three or more options of
booting seen on rEFIt, HD, Mac HD, and the third I usually do, but not
updated, and have old Mac OS X (not booting, full, virus, whatever,
partition(s) still there) and other Linux booting (old Ubuntu, iirc)

no upgrading grub kernel versions, which may have something to do with
rEFIt bootloader on a Mac Book Pro EFI machine, which the NoVALUG talk
might help explain some differences...

I put the local ubuntu and NoVALUG as the most likely to help fix, I'll
spam DCLUG in a moment /grin
hopefully bridging the solution across all lists, sorry for cross posting,
but novalug is active, but mostly Fedora people, DCLUG not very active,
afaict, and LoCo I'm not attending much and probably very busy bug fixing
and might do an install fest, it has been known to happen. battery is done
on the mbp so can't really go places and debug well, internal battery, so
even if I had the money, not likely to be easy to fix.

but I digress. hope the writing bug is clear enough, likely between chair
and keyboard, but whatever...
