For you wonky sorts who get off on this sort of thing... Forwarded
from another source:

The Open Source Initiative board of directors is headed to Washington
D.C. during the week of May 6 for its spring meeting, and is looking
for area volunteers and other partners for sidebar events.

Co-planning is now underway with Open Source for America (OSfA) and
others to create a forum for outreach and education for public policy
members to answer questions and help them better understand the
opportunities and challenges for open source software within the US
context as well as with a number of international organizations with a
presence in the D.C. area. Please see the public planning wiki
(http://wiki.opensource.org/dc_f2f) for more detail, or contact
Deborah Bryant directly to see how you might get involved.
