Anyone with wheels able to swing by my place (2401 Calvert NW) on the way
to TPFF?
The Washington Error-prone Messed-up Transit Authority is running shuttles
from the Dupont Circle station to New York Avenue and Florida Avenue
station, which means the trains will more than likely be impossible. And,
I always forget every year: Takoma Park Folk Festival coincides with Adams
Morgan Day, effectively blocking the most obvious bus routes to TPFF.
This year, I've been really overwhelmed. So, the print materials will be
whatever I had last year. I'll also be bringing Ubuntu LTS 12.04,
banners and tablecloth. I'll need to remember to check my supply of string,
wire, tape, pens, blank paper, etc.
The Software Freedom Day people sent their packages out later than usual
this year, and as far as I know, no packages have made it to the States.
However, they are trickling in across Europe and Africa now, and so there's
still a snowball's chance in Hell that the package will arrive either today
or tomorrow. So, sadly, T-shirts and whatever other swag they've stuffed
in the box are probably not going to happen until after the event.
