[DC LoCo] Friend getting an error message - "not enough free swap"

I set up a friend with a Linux Mint computer and she tells me she is repeatedly getting the message, "not enough free swap" when using Firefox. I suggested she reboot and she is still getting the same message. Maybe I need to head over to her place to install Chrome, which is less memory intensive.

Does anyone on this list have other ideas to try? Best as I can recall, her computer either has 512 MB of memory with Linux Mint 9 (or 10) on it, or 256 MB of memory with Linux Mint LXDE.
