[DC LoCo] How to control md# array numbers of GPT partitions using 12.04 LTS?

Hi,

When I build an md array on a 2TB disk that must use GPT partitions nothing I do prevents the array from being md127 when I want it to be md2

All the old tricks like

mdadm --stop /dev/md127
mdadm --assemble /dev/md2 /dev/sdc1 /dev/sdd1
mdscan --detail --scan > /dev/mdadm/mdadm.conf

have no effect, the array comes up as md127 not md2.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Ken
