Just double-checked with Robbie (former Ubuntu release manager, under
whom the new policy went in for 10.04), and the notification in Update
Manager is disabled until the .1 release, but if you use "sudo
do-release-upgrade -d" on the command line you should be able to get
it (please let me know if it only offers 10.10). Feel free to make
that:
sudo do-release-upgrade -d -m desktop
for the GUI, or even
sudo do-release-upgrade -d -m desktop -f kde
if you're on Kubuntu.
