Iyaz Aktar on the Tech News Today podcast (http://twit.tv/tnt) mentioned Wubi and Virtualbox as possible workarounds for this, but that there would still be issues with LiveCDs.

Tom Merritt also mentioned that, for a while anyway, you'll still be able to get mobo chipsets that use BIOS instead of UEFI if you are building your own rig.
