[DC LoCo] thoughts on recovering from power off during distro upgrade?

I got impatient and restored to a previous image, then repeated the upgrade.
 The upgrade to 11.04 complained about Skype, so I axed it and things went
smoothly after that.  Upgrading the rest of the way to 11.10 was smooth.
