I usually use TeamViewer http://www.teamviewer.com for this sort of 
thing.  Very simple to use, it's cross platform, and you can save 
settings for users you regularly connect to for one-click connection 
(which requires a free account).  If using for personal use, the program 
is free. Business use requires purchasing a contract.
