[DC LoCo] ubuntu 11.04 desktop problems.

I was surprised and perplexed by the blank screen too on a couple of upgrades last week. Though I originally thought Unity just got the screen size wrong (cutting off the icons), it turned out to be a simple fix. Had to get into terminal mode, which proved to be the problem, because the real ubuntu desktop came back after running the command "ccsm". I don't remember exactly how I got into terminal though --hitting ctrl-alt-t didn't work nor did most shortcuts beyond ctl-alt-delete--but I saved one thread to remind me and that advises using the search function if only a few keys work.
