Nope. Unity 3D and classic GNOME are on the CD. Classic GNOME is
used if you lack 3D or have an accessibility profile enabled during
install (ex: the screenreader). Check the login screen. The options
it gives, if you have not explicitly installed unity-2d, are classic &
Unity.
Feel free to check the manifest for the desktop iso to confirm that
the unity-2d package is not there
