[DC LoCo] Likely an embarassing personal problem...

Yeah, I was doing an update last night. Only three, two of which were for MegaGlest from GetDeb. It seemed like nothing was downloading. The progress bar for Update Manager just saying "waiting". I cancelled the process and rebooted. It said the same, so I let it run overnight. The next morning it was still saying "waiting". I cancelled and tried again and it said the updates were already installed. A check of Synaptic seemed to confirm that. It really left me with an uneasy feeling, though.

Has anyone else besides me suddenly had to jump through hoops to get 
Ubuntu upgrades to work?

I am just polling the community to try to figure this one out.
