The company that develops ksplice was just bought by Oracle and they
announced that it will only be supported for their flavor of Linux. They
have dropped all other distros. You may want to wait for the fork before
diving into using it.

This is not so big a deal on an installation just used as a
personal PC. I don't mind rebooting after updates when
