[DC LoCo] Update Manager in Different "Sessions"

(I am thinking the answer will be "No", but I need to ask anyway.)

I know that Gnome is not KDE, is not XFCE, is not LXDE. I know a window
manager is not a desktop environment.

I have read the instructions on adding desktops to an existing Ubuntu
installation. I know I can do:

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install lubuntu-desktop

Then it will be available as a Session at the login.

Question: I don't have to run update-manager in Gnome AND Lubuntu
sessions, do I?

I realize that this is not the same as having, at boot, an Ubuntu AND a
separate Lubuntu.....

Thank you.

Marti
