Aye, the capacitor plague. I only learned about it recently while fixing
somebody's set-top box. Someone in China figured out a way to make
electrolytic capacitors even worse and more prone to failure than they
already were.

It used to be that electrolytic capacitors wouldn't go for some years; now
they're like electrolytic answers to tribbles -- instead of born pregnant,
they're born ready for the trash bin.

At least they're easy to find and pluck.
