I had gone to the ubuntu sites and found special
sauce for the MacBookPro 7,1 (iirc)

Still looking for a rescue type iso that doesn't use zsync
knows about the current Natty and works on my special hardware
and doesn't kill MacOSX...
Redux (sp?) does not support PowerPC
though looks interesting as gets out of dependency
hell with static linking...
