Hey I didn't think it would hurt, but I just got word a week ago that
I'm being laid off. I been working for AOL for a good 10+ years and
currently in system integration doing break fix on hardware on Dells,
Hp's, Sun, HP-UX, Citrix, Junitper, Cisco.. pfft you name it. I looking
for a entry level System Admin spot though. I want to get more on the
software side of things. I usually one of those "If there's a tool to
make it easier I'll use it" kind of guys. So thought I've setup my own
wireless ISP when I was in business, I used Turnkey solutions for
traffic shaping, firewall, proxy, login authentication, webserver &
email servers. I always looked for opensource work arounds to problems:
Example: php installs for packages for CMS systems like word press,
EyeOS, Joomla, etc etc. I've also been someone who's pulled the wiki up
or find the php module to resolve solutions, but when it's come down to
development, well that's something I'm looking on doing. I've picked
most of my learning from participating in groups like this, & have a 4
year history with the community, & know some of you guys are in those
fields. For me this is something I love doing & like to learn more.
That's my drive.

Thanks!
