However, in the end "it being an Ubuntu issue" ultimately means that
developer resources are required to resolve the bug(s).  Whether the
resources are Canonical- (or Intel- or Red Hat-) or volunteer-driven
has differing semantics, so a basic starting point is providing more
helpful information up front when reporting the bug via an intuitive
interface.  Another point is providing a usable interface (or, at the
very least, procedure) to test fixes /that can only be made with
sufficient information/.  To return to the original post by Michael,
it would be helpful to at least provide the Launchpad bug reference.
