[DC LoCo] Is there a viable free software equivalent to quickbooks?

Home Bank is far simpler and works fairly well for personal finance
although it certainly has some flaws of its own (another example of
desktop software that has no business being written in C). There really
is a bit of a void in the FOSS world when it comes to finance software.
