One of my friends said "maybe."  I wouldn't mind being a test subject.
I've only attempted to use F-Spot once, over a year ago, and promptly
gave up.  From what I remember, it uses GTK, has some buttons, there's a
tagging system, and somewhere in there is some timeline thing that
failed to read EXIF data and treated all the photos as if they were
taken that day.  I decided it didn't make any sense to me and I'd stick
with "drag n drop all the photos from my camera to new directory" like
I'd always done.  If we're talking about GThumb...tried that slightly
more recently.  Failed miserably.  As far as I can tell, it does no more
than Eye of GNOME.
