<div>I took both approaches for 7.04 to 7.10: upgrade and clean install. Although at first I thought the clean installs were acting faster, I don't notice any difference anymore, and the upgrade process was VERY easy. The fresh install, of course, had me pulling out my notes from last install, but it is kind of fun remembering how to tweak the resolution, the touchpad, etc. :-)</div>
