<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"> <html> <head> </head> <body bgcolor="#ffffff" text="#000000"> There's a raging debate going on right now about renaming the different flavors of Ubuntu (Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Xubuntu, Edubuntu) to something else that's not so confusing for newbies.  Some suggested "Ubuntu Gnome Edition, Ubuntu KDE Edition, Ubuntu XFCE4 Edition, Ubuntu Educational Edition", and there have been many other suggestions.  Some are for the idea, others are against it, and it looks like this argument isn't going to go away until the people behind Ubuntu decide to do something about it.  This is not something Shuttleworth is going to be able to just sweep under the rug and hope it goes away because when debates like this take off on a life of their own like this one has you cannot simply just ignore it.<br> <br> This article and the comments are just one example.
