Alexander, I'm delighted to see you step forward, and I certainly have a +1 for you becoming the new team leader. Thanks!
I just want to bring us back to the main challenge facing us. As Joey wrote on the 19th, we have less than a month to get our act in gear, update our official pages and submit an application for renewal as a team.

Re-approval task bug.
This bug will be used to track the progress of the re-approval,
and make sure that every team gets the needed follow-through.
This bug will also allow us to keep a record of who was approved
and re-approved when. Please keep in mind the only people who should
be subscribed are the LoCo Council, and the team Contact. This bug will
also be kept private, for council use.
Your cooperation is thanked kindly in advance,
The Ubuntu LoCo Council
Here is what I wrote on the bug report that tracks this process:

Thanks to your reminder, we've had an active discussion on our mailing list, and have essentially come to an agreement on passing the leadership torch an enthusiastic candidate with lots of ideas for a wider variety of events than we've been doing recently.
How hard is the deadline?
For the record, I note based on https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LoCoCouncil/Agenda that your next meeting is Tuesday 16th October 2012, 20:00 UTC and will be held in #ubuntu-meeting on irc.freenode.net.
And here is a link to the process: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LoCoGettingApproved
I haven't heard back about how hard the deadline is.
Our wiki page (the main thing we need to work on to represent us at approval time) is at
ColoradoTeam - Ubuntu Wiki
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ColoradoTeam
So Alexander and team, can we get folks to read thru the process, update the team wiki, and apply in time and show up on the 16th of October?
Seeing no objection, I suggest that David add Alexander as the team lead in all the right places now, so he has all the tools he needs to work on this.
Cheers,
Neal McBurnett http://neal.mcburnett.org/

hey there we can see you're due to expire from the approved locoteams
2012-10-22 if you are currently working on your application that's
great and our next meeting is in October, if you need to conduct the
reapproval via the bug that's also fine. If we can help in any way just
ask.
