I've seen this problem on regular (i.e. non-UNR desktops). Install the UbuntuOne Gnome package, all should be fixed.

Subject: [CoLoCo] Ubuntu one?
Joey,
i just installed the ubuntu one client on UNR. Not sure if anyone has tried that before. Not sure if it's a bug yet, since i've never used ubuntu-one before, but the icon was in my notification area, and then after i clicked on it as couple times it dissapeared. System monitor still reports that the client-applet is still running, and the sync-deamon is running too.
The ubuntu-one site doesent give much info other than installing, but it would be very helpful if you or someone created a screencast of how to get the best use out of the program.
