2000
My main classes to teach were 204A & 204B - Advanced Networking, but I also taught SQL, Oracle, Web (i.e. HTML), and Java. The post bachelor program (of which I forget what they called it) also had me teach a single session on Unix (Solaris) from their E-Commerce class.
I have never been so proud to be fired from a job in all my life. While I thought I was there to teach, it turns out, I was only expected to hand out passing grades so people can earn worthless degrees. Almost all of my students loved me, except one, who told the dean that he (in all his zero years of experience) felt that he did not need to learn all that I was teaching. So Deb told me to dumb it down. I told her, this was the same syllabus that I had used for 3 terms, and won me most favored teacher two of those three sessions. She fired me when I flunked the student that refused to do the work. They then brought in another teacher that gave everyone an A.
Like I said, never been proud of loosing a job, let alone getting fired, but I walked out of there proud as a peacock for being fired.
