I don't own admin rights on the target NAT router. I can not add DDNS
to the remote side, or forward ports. I never tried DDNS or NOIP on my
home satellite... would be an interesting experiment if I did not need
this to be bullet proof.
I set up Hamachi at home last night, and it appears to be running. I
then set up Hamachi on my office laptop, and it appears to be running.
However, I keep getting connection failures when I try to access home.
Hardy Heron jacked up home system on upgrade, so I had to rebuild. I
may not have remembered to turn on things like SSH. But I know its
turned on for the office laptop. So I will test Hamachi tonight.
