Is there anything like dBPower AMP for Linux. dBPower AMP is a Windows
tool which can convert virtually any auto file format into another and
has many different codec plugins to support some more obscure audio
formats like Monkey audio. It embeds in the Windows shell so when you
move a mouse pointer over an audio file it has a pop-up balloon of info
on that file including any ID Tag info from MP3 and Ogg Vorbis files. I
keep the program around on the Windows side for converting audio files,
and its able to do them in bulk also. It also has one of the best CD
Rippers I've ever used and talks to CDDB to get track names and album
titles.
