Very fine design! Great form and interaction of the different elements. 
I love the composition of the fine lines and subtle brightness gradients 
with the waves. Interesting desaturated colors. Probably not for 
everyone, but way cool for people who are into that sort of pallete.

It looks a little weird on the cube since it doesn't tile in the x 
direction, but I can't see how to fix that without ruining the beauty of 
the single desktop image, which is after all the main thing people would 
see. Nice work!

I don't use compiz, so don't know if per workspace images are possible, 
but if so, and you want to get fancy, you could do a mirror version so 
R/(L) side of "image-odd" matches L/(R) side of "image-even" and tweak 
the wave curves a little to end up horizontal at the screen edges so 
they blend smoothly.
