Well, I don't know the rules of gaming but I thought building one
would be the better approach.

Really? Too high? I know the GPU is the main issue but a low end CPU
won't help matters will it? That one was only $180 and is one step
below the top core 2 (as far as I understand their various models) not
counting extreme models.

The GPU is rather middle of the road. Any thoughts on it?
