As many of you know, the Democratic National Conventional will be held in
Denver this summer. Unconventional Action, a group of anarchists has
outlined a plan for the DNC etc. Their plan for the RNC has already earned
widespread support from the community and they're working closely with
Recreate68 to make sure that the DNC protests show people that another world
*is* possible and motivate people for unconventional change. Their proposed
stratregy called for a different theme each day of the convention. Monday is
"free poltical prisoners"/human rights day. We will be reclaiming the space
downtown for use by the people and I think an ubuntu section would be great.
We can spread the message of free software and the ideals that accompany it.
Would anybody be interested in doing this? I can front money for bulk
production of Ubuntu stuff if needed. I'll be doing a lot of other
behind-the-scenes work but I could possibly be an ubuntero for an hour or
two. For more information, visit unconventionalaction.org
Thoughts?
