Are you running 32-bit or 64-bit Linux? The 64-bit is bugged and
unfixed, but there's a workaround.
To find out whether you're running 32 or 64, type 'uname -a'. My output
looks like this:
Linux aurora 2.6.22-14-generic #1 SMP Tue Dec 18 05:28:27 UTC 2007
x86_64 GNU/Linux
And now with block-brackets around the important part:
