Okay, turned off all but those 4 and no change. Still 50 seconds to
load the desktop (and only 40 to boot the computer). By way of
comparison, my laptop running the same 64bit version of gutsy takes
about 25 seconds to load the desktop. Better but still not what feisty
was. It could be somewhat related to the computer. My desktop had some
issues even with feisty that turned out to be related to about 20GB of
music I deleted that ended up in a different trash directory but was
for some reason slowing down the loading of the desktop (i.e. finding
and finally removing them helped). I don't see that issue now though.
This is annoying.
