The best way I can think of, is let her do a "real" experiment. Then have
her explain what she learned/what happened with some cool FOSS software like
stellarium.
...unless of course you think she can program microprocessors with an
experiment of proprietary programming software vs. FOSS, but that may be a
bit out of her scope....
I say let her pick her own experiment, and then you start searching for
suitable FOSS "presentation software"
