dd-wrt is cool. You can use it to set up 2 routes that use the same
network and with the second one connected wirelessly to the first.
It's called Wireless Distribution Service. I suppose it's somewhat
similar to the expander but this is a linux firmware. You will need
two compatible routers (linksys wrt54g is very common and easy to get
on ebay for cheap) and flash them with the dd-wrt firmware. Then set
up WDS. More info at http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/WDS. I
flashed my router with dd-wrt. It's easy and it now also work as a ssh
server so even more added benefits.
