[CoLoCo] extending wireless access

Hey, my dad is thinking about buying a Linksys *Wireless-G Range Expander,
so he can get wireless access in his workshop. The reason he is looking at
it, is because it needs no computer to supply power/configuration. That way
it can always be on without a computer (or windows). Does anyone have any
comments or suggestions as to why we should or should not get one? Any
better products out there?
